Voice over internet protocol or VoIP is a phone system for
both incoming and outgoing calls using the broad band internet. This dispenses
with the traditional method of calling. In today’s world VoIP is preferred by
many business houses, and self employed professionals because it offers certain
key features such as voicemail, call forwarding and caller ID. The VoIP anti blocking solution offered by

Check for a corresponding light on phone no.1 provided you have a Linksys
router IAD. If the light on phone number 1 is present then try connecting a
phone directly to the IAD without any splitters or devices between the IAD and

Calls sound unclear
and quite choppy.
Internet congestion or inadequate bandwidth can cause audio
disturbances. Contact your Isp for a higher level of service or greater
bandwidth. If the problem occurs too often, have the ISP check your connection.
VoIP providers sometimes offer a more compressed codec or bandwidth saver
settings changing the codec solve the problem in many situations.
There is an annoying
echo- you need to decrease the volume of the phones to prevent feedback.
Any separate caller IDs or splitters need to be removed.
Static or buzzing
noise- Analogue or electrical interference into the phone lines or phone is
the probable cause for static or buzzing noise. Make sure the cordless phones
are charged and do not have weak or worn out batteries in the handset. Switch
channels on the phone to determine which is the best. Try connecting the phone
directly to an IAD and see if the buzzing ceases.
